Crypto Dice is the cleanest testbed for betting systems because the parameters are explicit: choose a win chance c, the payout is 99/c, the edge is 1%. We simulated five strategies with 100 players each, CA$1,000 bankrolls, 1,000 rolls per player, using the same generator as our free dice simulator.
The strategies
- Flat — CA$10 per roll at 49.5%.
- Martingale — CA$1 base, double after loss, reset after win, 49.5%.
- Paroli — CA$10 base, double after win up to three wins then reset, 49.5%.
- D'Alembert — CA$10 base, +CA$10 after loss, −CA$10 after win, 49.5%.
- Labouchère — list 1-2-3-4, bet first+last, cross off on win, append on loss, CA$10 units, 49.5%.
Results
| Strategy | Avg result / player | Bust rate | Best session | Worst session | Total wagered / player |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flat | −CA$97 | 0% | +CA$640 | −CA$780 | CA$10,000 |
| Martingale | −CA$263 | 29% | +CA$71 | −CA$1,000 | CA$26,900 |
| Paroli | −CA$118 | 2% | +CA$1,420 | −CA$690 | CA$12,100 |
| D'Alembert | −CA$141 | 6% | +CA$410 | −CA$1,000 | CA$14,300 |
| Labouchère | −CA$202 | 17% | +CA$240 | −CA$1,000 | CA$20,600 |
Every average is ≈ −1% of total wagered, give or take variance. The systems differ only in how much they make you wager and how the losses are distributed. Martingale and Labouchère wager the most and bust the most; flat and Paroli wager the least and bust the least.
Choosing win chance
The slider is a variance dial. Some reference points at CA$10 flat bets:
- 90% chance (1.1×): win nine of ten, lose CA$10 one in ten. Smooth, slow bleed; a 5-loss streak (0.001%) is rare but costs CA$50 against CA$1 wins.
- 49.5% (1.98×): the classic coin flip.
- 10% (9.9×): mostly losses; a hit every ten rolls on average, streaks of 30+ losses are routine.
- 1% (99×): lottery mode. Expect 100+ roll droughts.
No chance is better than another in expectation. Lower chance = bigger swings = larger bankroll required per unit bet.
What actually improves your results
- Rakeback. At 20% rakeback the 1% edge becomes 0.8%; at 70% it becomes 0.3%. On the CA$10,000 of wagering in the flat strategy above, that is CA$20 to CA$70 back — more than any system "earns". Rakeback codes: Thrill (maxrakeback), Rainbet (BOOST20), Stake (GETRAKEBACK), Duel (MAXRB).
- Bet sizing. 1% of bankroll per roll keeps bust rates near zero at 49.5%; lower chances need smaller bets.
- Session limits. A stop-loss and take-profit do not change EV but prevent the tilt that turns −1% into −30%.
- Not using bonus funds. Dice usually counts 10% toward wagering. Play it with real balance.
Verifying fairness
Before rolling, the casino shows a hash of its server seed. You set a client seed. Each roll's result is HMAC-SHA512(server seed, client seed:nonce) mapped to 0–99.99. After you rotate seeds the server seed is revealed and you can recompute every roll. Every brand on our bonuses list supports this.
