    Dice in one paragraph

A number between 0.00 and 99.99 is generated. You bet that it will be over or under a target you choose. Your win chance is the size of the winning range; the payout is 99 ÷ win chance, which bakes in a 1% house edge at every setting. A 50% chance pays 1.98×; a 10% chance pays 9.9×; a 1% chance pays 99×. There is no other rule.

Dice is the game most crypto casinos launched with, because it is trivially provably fair: the result is derived from a hashed server seed, a client seed and a nonce, all of which you can verify after the roll.

    What the slider teaches

Moving the win-chance slider shows the single most important idea in casino maths: the house edge does not change, only the variance does. At 98% win chance you win almost every roll for 1.01× — and the rare loss costs 98 wins. At 2% you lose almost every roll and win 49.5× when you hit. The expected return of every setting is 99%.

Use the auto-roll to watch this: at 50% chance the balance wanders; at 5% it bleeds slowly and then jumps. The "longest losing streak" counter is the number to respect — at 50% chance a streak of 10 losses happens about once every 1,000 rolls, which a Martingale bettor hits regularly.

    Dice strategies, honestly

    • Flat betting at a chosen chance: the baseline. Expected loss = 1% of total wagered.
    • Martingale (double after loss at ~49.5%): wins small amounts frequently until a streak wipes the bankroll. Bankroll must cover 2^n bets; streaks of n are inevitable.
    • Paroli / anti-Martingale (double after wins, reset after three): caps losses at one unit per sequence, chases streaks. Same expected loss, different shape.
    • D'Alembert, Labouchère, Fibonacci: progressions that reshuffle variance. None changes the 1%.

Our dice strategy guide tests each over 100,000 simulated rolls.

    Playing dice for real

Stake, Rainbet, Shuffle, Duel, Thrill and BC.Game all run Dice with the exact 1% edge modelled here. With rakeback the effective edge drops further — Dice at Thrill's 70% tier is a 0.3% game. Dice counts only 10% toward bonus wagering at most sites, so play it with real balance and a rakeback code rather than with bonus funds.

    Frequently asked questions

Is dice the lowest house edge casino game?

At 1% it ties with the other crypto Originals and is better than roulette (2.7%) and most slots (3–5%). Blackjack with perfect strategy (0.5%) is lower.

Can I verify dice rolls at real casinos?

Yes. Stake, Rainbet and others publish the hashed server seed before play and reveal it when you rotate seeds, so every roll can be recomputed.

    What win chance is best?

None changes the expected return. Lower chance = bigger swings. 49.5% is the standard for progression systems; 90%+ for 'grinding' small wins with rare big losses.

Does dice count toward bonus wagering?

Usually at 10%. Clear bonuses on slots; play dice with real funds and rakeback.
