Crypto casinos are not part of any Canadian self-exclusion registry, so the tools you use are the ones inside each account. They are effective when set in advance, and all nine brands we track offer them. Here is what exists and how to use it well.
Tools available at the brands we track
| Tool | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Caps deposits per day/week/month | All 9 |
| Loss limit | Caps net losses per period | Stake, Rainbet, Shuffle, Roobet, Gamdom |
| Wager limit | Caps total bets per period | Stake, Rainbet, Shuffle |
| Session reminder | Pop-up after a set time | Most |
| Cool-off | Locks the account 24h–30d | All 9 |
| Self-exclusion | Locks the account 6 months+; irreversible for the term | All 9 |
| Vault | Moves balance to a locked sub-wallet with a time delay | Stake, Rainbet, Shuffle |
| Bonus opt-out | Stops bonus offers | Most, via support |
Increases to limits take effect after a cooling period (24 hours to 7 days); decreases are immediate. That asymmetry is the point.
Setting them up
Find Settings → Responsible Gambling (or Self-Limits). Set a deposit limit first — it is the one that matters, because crypto deposits are frictionless. Then a loss limit if available. Use the Vault to park winnings you intend to withdraw so a late-night session cannot touch them.
Set limits in Canadian-dollar terms and remember the coin's price moves: a weekly limit of 0.05 BTC is a different amount every week. Stablecoins make limits meaningful.
Signs it is time to use the stronger tools
- Depositing to chase a loss, or more often than you planned.
- Playing to feel better rather than to be entertained.
- Hiding the amount or the time spent from people close to you.
- Borrowing, or using money needed for bills.
A cool-off is a low-stakes first step; self-exclusion is for when the cool-off did not hold. Self-exclusion at crypto casinos is per site, so if you use several, do it at each — and consider blocking software (Gamban, BetBlocker) that covers all gambling sites at the device level.

How we approach it on this site
We track bonuses because they change the maths of play, and we publish the maths — including the expected cost of clearing a bonus — so that nobody takes an offer under an illusion. Every bonus page links to the tools above. If you ever feel the game has stopped being entertainment, use them; they work.
